Finally the rain has stopped. The rain has not only prevented us from rendering the outside of the house but has caused widespread floods and devastation to some parts of Ireland. A week after the torrential rain and still some parts of Cork city are without water and flood levels are rising around the Shannon area. Only a month before Christmas and people are homeless, jobless and in total disarray.
Some good news for us is that we have a new arrival coming tomorrow. A dog about 6 months old that needs a new home. He is lovely and the boys are so excited. I bought a new basket and other essentials the boys have decorated it with "WELCOME INDI" signs (they want to call him Indi after Indiana Jones). I have to pick him up tomorrow morning sometime and then the fun will start - dog in a mobile home! At least he has 1.5 acre to run around in outside.
